Loving our Disney Pets

Our pets are some of the most vital parts of our daily lives. Their unconditional love is part of today’s month of Love on Mouze Kateerz. Please enjoy pictures of ours and our readers beloved Disney inspired pets.

Please meet Mufasa. He is our ever so loving cat named after the Lion King. We adopted him from our neighbor a couple of months back and he was already named Mufasa so we kept it. He came from a litter of kittens. His brothers and sisters are: Pumba, Simba, Ed, Scar, Nalah & Raffaki.~ Frances

Please meet Gus Gus – named after Gus in Cinderella. He is a rat terrier and when he was a baby he look like a fat little mouse :) ~ Julie Ann

Please say hello to our cat named Luke Skywalker. Our son, 7, picked out the name. Luke will

turn 2 in April. I wanted to name him Yoda but I gave into Luke. We would like to get another

cat and either have Darth or Leia. ~ Jennifer D.

Here is our “Princess” Belle. We had lost our kitty in July of 2012 after having him for 16 years. He was our childrens(10 and 7) first loss of a pet. They kept asking for a new pet ever since. My husband and I kept saying maybe in the Spring we would think about it. In late September Belle started showing up on our deck here and there, then everyday sleeping on our patio chairs. We started feeding her because the weather was getting cold. I called the Human Society to see if they could find out if she belonged to someone. They called me back that afternoon, and she was thrown out by her current family because they didn’t want her. She is a year and a half, de-clawed and fixed. Just thrown out because she didn’t fit in there life anymore!!! She pulled on all of our heartstrings and now is part of our family!! She is now the Princess of our house and rules the roost! We love her very much.

I don’t have a Disney dog by name. We adopted Liam after he was nearly a year old from a New York Humane Society. He was not named after any Disney characters and seldom even rocks Disney accessories but one Christmas I managed to get him to slip on his Mickey Mouse ears. He does enjoy watching Disney movies with me, particularly Lady and the Tramp and for some reason he really likes animation styles like Nightmare Before Christmas. He has enjoyed many toys and treats from my husband and my adventures in the parks including a “Pitch a Stitch” frisbee and Mickey Tire. I would send pics but those toys have since been destroyed beyond recognition. lol.
